Everything Must Ghost is a fast-paced ghostly heist game created during a week-long game jam with an 8-person remote team. Players take on the role of Henry the Poltergeist, racing against his rival Teddy to snatch up furniture, food, and even the family cat before time runs out.
I led production as Producer, coordinating daily standups, organizing task distribution, and keeping the team focused on a tight 200-second-run loop that emphasized replayability. I worked closely with designers, artists, and programmers to scope the project realistically for the jam, balancing creative ambition with the need for a polished, shippable game.
I also contributed directly to gameplay design and programming, setting up the item spawning system with randomized values that changed every time the game started, implementing the encumbrance mechanic, and supporting other team members with the integration of an AI opponent for the player to compete against.
Despite the limited timeframe, our team successfully shipped a complete and cohesive game, which gave me hands-on experience in managing scope, keeping morale high, and ensuring a collaborative creative process under strict deadlines.
As of right now, Everything Must Ghost is ranking as the most popular game in the event, outperforming other entries in plays and engagement. Proof that our small team delivered something that resonated under pressure.
